Operating from a modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility in Western Sydney, the site has continued to scale rapidly in volume and capability, underpinned by long-tenured staff and a highly engaged workforce. This site employs 200 headcount.
About the Role
This is a hands-on Maintenance Manager role with end-to-end responsibility for site maintenance and reliability. Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance activities while also shaping the long-term maintenance strategy as the business continues to grow and expand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a small internal trades team (3 fitters and electricians)
- Coordinating external contractors and OEMs
- Partnering closely with production and technical teams to support uptime and output
- Supporting the transition of maintenance activities from OEM reliance to increase internal capability within the maintenance team
- Play a key role in establishing a more formal maintenance system and processes (including a CMMS) especially as the site scales
Key Skills and Experience
- Background in food manufacturing or FMCG environments (meat industry experience will be highly regarded)
- Trade qualification or Engineering degree
- Demonstrated experience working with food safety and hygiene standards
- Familiarity with processing and packaging equipment (e.g. thermoforming, mixing, cooking, refrigeration and utilities)
- Comfortable operating in a growing business where systems and structure continue to evolve
