We are partnering with a global technology manufacturer. This is a highly specialised, discrete manufacturing environment. The business designs and assembles complex, safety-critical engineered systems that integrate precision hardware, electronics and proprietary software.
With a strong customer base in mining and a reputation for technical excellence, the organisation has experienced consistent growth and investment in the last few years.
This manufacturing site, based in Windsor QLD, plays a critical role in final assembly and delivery of customised, made-to-order systems used in demanding industry environments.
The site is now entering the next phase of it's operations, with a clear mandate to elevate manufacturing performance to a gold class standard.
About the Role
Reporting to the VP Operations, the Manufacturing Manager will lead a team of 20 across production and manufacturing.
This is not a steady-state role. The site is undergoing a maturity uplift, with a strong focus on operational excellence, structured project-driven manufacturing, ERP integration and cost optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- You will lead all site manufacturing operations
- Drive operational excellence / lean iniatiatives, cost reduction programs and process optimisation
- Embed structured production planning and S&OP discipline
- Oversee ERP alignment and system integration (SAP experience highly regarded)
- Develop team capability, uplift leadership standards and build a high-performance culture
- Partner with supply chain, procurement and engineering stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
- Full Australian Work Rights. You must be Brisbane based for this role. No sponsorship available.
- Proven leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment (discrete or made-to-order assembly type manufacturing highly regarded)
- Strong operational and commercial acumen with a track record of improving cost, delivery and performance metrics
- Experience leading change or transformation within legacy environments
- Broad capability across manufacturing and supply chain
- ERP exposure (SAP preferred)
- A pragmatic, credible leader who can balance hands-on engagement with strategic thinking
