The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a well-established, purpose-built 24/7 processing facility in Minto, NSW.

This is a 12 year old manufacturing site that processes a bulk commodity product and carries significant utility infrastructure including reverse osmosis, wastewater treatment, compressed air systems - alongside large-scale processing equipment.

This is a supervisory role responsible for planning and running day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinating a trades team and keeping the site performing reliably.

Working hours: Mon–Fri, 5:30–6:00am start
Reports to: Reliability Manager

About the role

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will take ownership of daily maintenance planning and execution across the site, overseeing a team of six tradespersons - two fitters, two electricians, a wastewater technician and a domestic services operator. The team works staggered shifts (6:00am and 9:00am starts).

Reporting into the Reliability Manager, as a Maintenance Supervisor your focus is the floor. Each day involves understanding what work is live, what's planned and what needs to shift. Work orders are managed through Maximo, and your job is making sure the right people are on the right jobs at the right time, with nothing falling through the cracks.

The site has a strong reliability record and reactive callouts are relatively uncommon - but when they do happen, you'll be ready. This role is fundamentally about planning, structure and keeping a capable team ahead of the work rather than constantly reacting to it.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and allocate daily work orders across the trades team via the CMMS (Maximo)
  • Drive team accountability - maintain workflow standards and follow-through across all shifts
  • Coordinate contractors on site, including permits, access management and compliance oversight
  • Manage spare parts registers, raise purchase orders and chase procurement as required
  • Write risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are consistently upheld
  • Liaise with the Reliability Manager on scheduling, priorities and planned works
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting through Maximo
  • Step in hands-on during reactive breakdowns when required
About you

You are a trade-qualified supervisor or team leader ready to step into a well-structured maintenance environment and make it your own. You bring a methodical approach to planning, a clear and direct leadership style and the confidence to hold a team accountable day in, day out.

You will ideally have:
  • Trade qualification - mechanical fitter, electrician or similar
  • Industry experience in a bulk commodity or heavy machinery environment will be preferred (such as milling, grain, flour, sugar, rice, fertiliser, chemical, mining or similar), with exposure to heavier gear and equipment
  • Previous experience in a people leadership
  • Solid computer literacy and CMMS experience - any exposure to Maximo experience will be highly regarded
  • Strong organisational ability with a structured approach to workload planning and team accountability
Why this role
  • Secure, full-time permanent opportunity with a well-established operation
  • Monday to Friday early starts - no weekend roster
  • Competitive remuneration up to $115,000 + Super
  • Clear scope - own the day-to-day without carrying the strategic burden
  • Join a site where the maintenance function genuinely matters and has full leadership support
