Management Accountant
6-Month Contract | Immediate Start | Commercially Focused Role
 
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-backed, growth-focused organisation operating within the industrial / resources / manufacturing sector.
This is a 6-month contract role suited to a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working closely with operations, supporting decision-making, and improving the quality of reporting in a practical, fast-moving environment.

About the Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role will see you partnering across finance and operations to deliver timely, accurate, and commercially useful reporting.
You'll be stepping into a broad role with exposure to management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and operational support.
This will suit someone who is comfortable working in a business where finance needs to be both commercial and hands-on not just month-end focused.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Provide cost and margin analysis to support operational decision-making
• Partner with key internal stakeholders across finance and operations
• Support month-end close, journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Help improve reporting processes, controls, and financial visibility
• Contribute to board / investor-quality reporting where required
• Assist with ad hoc commercial analysis and project-based work

About You
You will be a commercially minded finance professional who can operate confidently in a dynamic and evolving environment.
You'll ideally bring:

• CA / CPA qualification (or near completion)
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role
• Strong month-end and reporting capability
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Confidence partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel and systems capability
• A practical, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach

Experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining services, chemicals, processing, engineering, or related sectors will be highly regarded.
