Titles Queensland manages the land and water titles registries for Queensland and are the trusted experts in maintaining the reliability and integrity of one of our state’s most significant registers of information, protecting people’s most valuable assets.

With over 750,000 lodgements and 2.7 million searches of land and water titles registry dealings each year, our services are fundamental to the investment in Queensland and safeguarding records for property owners and interest holders across our past, present and future.

In June 2021, the Queensland Government announced the titles registry services would transfer to the Queensland Future Fund, enabled by the Queensland Future Fund (Titles Registry) Act 2021. The corporate entity of Titles Queensland was established at this time and continues to offer the same products and services to our many customers and stakeholders maintaining a firm commitment to service excellence and accuracy.

About the Position
The Manager Compliance is a newly created position within Titles Queensland reporting to the Head of Governance. Responsibilities include ensuring the organization meets regulatory, corporate, and governance obligations, managing internal audit, policy governance, obligations delivery, complaints framework, and statewide eConveyancing subscriber compliance audits.

The Manager Compliance will collaborate with the Head of Governance, Senior Leadership Team, and employees to enhance compliance awareness and capability. Coordination with cyber and risk experts for a corporate-wide approach is also required.

The role will lead and develop a small support team.

About the Person
To be successful in this position, you will have a proven track record in effectively managing compliance and governance/assurance activities, ideally in a relevant industry sector such as property or financial services. Bringing your knowledge of best practice in corporate governance initiatives will enable you to understand, measure, and report on performance, assurance, and compliance issues.

With strong analytical skills you can assess the effectiveness of regulatory, governance, and compliance activities and implement solutions for complex problems across the organisation.

You will thrive working both independently and as part of a high-performing team, bringing a tactful and collaborative approach that allows you to build strong and healthy relationships with diverse stakeholders.

You will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and people management skills, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve optimal performance.

Lastly, relevant tertiary qualifications in an area such as law or business will be highly desirable.
