DUTIES
As Manager, Customer Insights growAG. you will be responsible for identifying, analysing and vetting emerging technologies and potential partners for Australia’s digital agrifood innovation platform growag.com. You will support two Managers, Engagement who manage strategic relationships with Rural Research and Development Corporations (RDCs), universities, state government agencies and the agrifood innovation ecosystem.
Your core focus will be research and analysis of the agtech and food tech ecosystems and how these interact with Australian agricultural and food industry challenges and research funding priorities.
To support this objective, this role will need to drive analysis and insights from in house data sets including CRM, marketing automation and website data and industry data sets including but not exclusive to industry surveys, government datasets and public pitch information.
This role will also work closely with the digital product and marketing team to generate reportable insights from our digital platform – growag.com.
Duties include the following:
- Modelling AgriFutures Australia values and behaviours.
- Drive outcomes for key non stakeholder accounts (domestic and intl. corporates, gov agencies and research bodies) by identifying tangible opportunities for partnership based on identified parameters and providing detailed analysis and recommendations for engagement including market and partnership opportunities.
- Drive impact outcomes and value add for key stakeholders (DAFF, RDCs) by providing analysis, insight and reporting on the agrifood ecosystem from 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data sources.
- Manage the collection, analysis and dissemination of information to provide value add to the ecosystem and partners by providing regular ideas, insights and reporting to use in communications and engagement activities including quarterly insight papers, industry analysis and research trends.
- Co-owning data implementation, management and measurement strategy with other stakeholders within the Global Innovation Networks (GIN) Business Unit.
- Identifying opportunities to support stakeholders and objectives across the research, development & engagement (RD&E) system to drive long-term strategic goals.
- Internal and external reporting, maintenance of dashboards and required lists.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary qualifications in business, agriculture, agtech, innovation, project management or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in production agriculture, food processing, agtech or Innovation is preferrable
- Demonstrated project management experience relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated well-developed presentation and communication skills.
- Experience working in startup ecosystem, evaluating companies.
- Experience using CRM platforms and BI or visualisation tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau.
- Experience with analysis of large data sets and data warehousing platforms.
