The Role:
Highly commercial and operations focused, you will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the following:
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, production, procurement, and other departments to optimize cost management and operational efficiency and gather and document business requirements.
- Cost Accounting: Maintain and analyze cost accounting records, including material, labour, and overhead costs.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, control, and reconciliation processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for manufacturing operations.
- Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions and identify trends.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide financial insights to management.
- Solution Development: Develop and propose solutions to address business challenges and improve processes.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations, including cost analysis, profitability reports, and performance metrics
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, cost accountant or manufacturing accountant, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience within a costing environment with strong commercial acumen, analytical and business partnering skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, ERP systems, Tableau).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
