Our client, A major player in the agriculture chemical space are looking for an experienced National Procurement Manager to lead procurement for raw materials, packaging, and services, with potential expansion to other areas like freight and crop solutions. The position supports a national business structure and requires working with supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategy aligned to business needs and agricultural cycles, including category management for services, inputs, logistics, and indirects.
- Monitor commodity pricing, supply dynamics, and risks; apply insights to sourcing, contracts, and negotiations.
- Manage contract lifecycles, ensuring compliance with regulations, ESG standards, and governance in chemical manufacturing.
- Negotiate supplier deals, pursue international/local sourcing, and conduct cost analysis while handling operational tasks.
- Implement ERP tools (D365 preferred), track KPIs for savings and performance, and support team development.
- 7-10+ years strategic procurement experience in ag chemicals, specialty chemicals, FMCG, or manufacturing.
- Proven negotiation skills, cost-saving results, ERP proficiency, and ability to handle seasonal markets.
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels
- Experience leading teams favourable
- Knowledge of agriculture chemicals extremely favourable.
- Hands-on approach suitable for SME team environment.
