If you are a Medical Negligence or a Personal Injury lawyer with an interest in this space that is at least 2 years PQE then this is an opportunity you will need to consider.

In this role you will be involved in:

• Attending formal mediations and informal settlement conferences
• Managing Coronial inquiries and disciplinary proceedings as against health entities and individual practitioners
• Providing advice to insurers on cover, predominantly professional indemnity and medical indemnity insurance
• Reviewing medical and health records  
• Preparing briefs for Counsel and expert witnesses
• Drafting court documents, settlement deeds and Medical Panel referrals
• Preparing advices including on indemnity, liability, prospects, quantum, reserves and strategy
• Researching and providing legal analysis
• Assisting with the preparation and presenting on matters related to medical indemnity and health law litigation

To be considered for this role you will have at least 2 years PQE across the Medical Negligence or Personal injury space either on the defendant or plaintiff side. You will have a high level of drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent attention to detail and be a genuine team player.
