Role Overview:
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the fortnightly payroll for approximately 130 employees. This is a part-time position (.6 or .4 FTE) based at the company office in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs, offering flexibility while ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process fortnightly payroll for 130 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Manage payroll data entry, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee details.
- Calculate and process leave entitlements, overtime, and deductions.
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, providing exceptional service and resolving any issues promptly.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports as required, including tax and superannuation contributions.
- Assist with end-of-year processes, including preparation of annual tax summaries and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support Payables and Receivables on an adhoc basis.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, relevant legislation, and best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Experience with Employment Hero is a plus!
