The Role
Reporting directly into the Head of People and Culture, your duties will include the following:
- Ensuring the business is compliant with relevant legislation and regulations across superannuation, tax and employment laws
- Ensuring payments to staff are correct and timely
- Educate the team on changes to legislation when required
- Identify process improvement initiatives and implement them
- Act as the Payroll Manager as and when required, supporting a team of four staff that process for close to 1500 staff
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar senior payroll position that includes the following:
- Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation with a proactive attitude to stay informed
- Demonstrated knowledge in conducting and responding to audits
- Capability to lead remediation / implementation of payroll principles
- Ability to communicate and provide advice to with executive team
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
