Job Duties
Reporting into the CFO, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a payroll team
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing and providing hands on support when required (fortnightly pay run)
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- A clear focus and improvement on payroll compliance
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant awards and legislation are interpreted
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience leading and managing large teams
- Ideally have utilised Kronos
- Established experience working within a medium / large sized organisation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- Senior leadership role
- Management level salary
- Flexible work arrangements (1-2 days in office with car parking available)
