The Organisation

Our client is a leading Not-For-Profit organisation who provide critical support services to a number of Australians in need. They are currently seeking a hands on Payroll Manager to oversee the team as well as manage key projects.

Position Description 

Reporting directly into the Head of HR Services, your daily tasks will include:
  • Managing a team of two Payroll Officers
  • Managing a fortnightly payroll of over 800 employees
  • Managing team performance and ensuring the payroll is released on time and accurately.  
  • Payroll reconciliations, PAYG calculations and award interpretation.
  • Ongoing governance and compliance.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvements within the payroll function
  • Payroll reporting as well as leading other ad hoc payroll projects,

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Manager/Supervisory position along with the following attributes:
  • End to end payroll knowledge, including payroll reconciliations and working with EBA's
  • Experience with Chris21 is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Well-organized, positive, pro-active and able to work in a team environment
  • Best practice mindset, and ability to drive continuous improvement
