We are proud to partner with a leading organisation for the recruit of a Payroll Manager located in Brisbane CBD. As the Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role overseeing the delivery of accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services for a large and diverse workforce across multiple sites and functions. Based in Brisbane, you will report to the National Lead, and act as a key partner to HR, Finance, and operational leaders, ensuring payroll is delivered to the highest standard while supporting broader business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate, timely payroll delivery for a workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
- Maintain strong compliance across all payroll activities, including taxation, superannuation, awards, and internal governance requirements.
- Prepare and submit all statutory obligations, including STP, payroll tax, and other mandated reporting.
- Drive the effective use and continuous improvement of payroll systems through ongoing maintenance and optimisation.
- Play an active role in system upgrades by supporting testing, troubleshooting, and successful implementation.
- Lead, coach, and develop a payroll team of four, fostering capability and consistency.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll management within a medium or large organisation.
- Experience with ERP payroll systems (SAP and UKG highly regarded, not essential).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
