Reporting to the Finance Director this role will see you take leadership of the Payroll team with key duties including:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a team of 2 Payroll Officers
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing for 4,000 employees
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Management of monthly and quarterly Audits
- Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
- Implementing payroll projects
- Identifying process improvements
- Uphold high customer service standards and protocols across the business
- Partner and develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively and as a team across operations and Corporate Head Office
Candidate Profile
You will have extensive experience in a hands-on payroll management role along with the following attributes:
- 3+ years managing and developing Payroll staff
- High volume payroll experience within a medium to large scale business
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Analytical mindset
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Cultural leader – with a can do attitude
- Positive and supportive nature
