Position Description
Working within a supportive, positive and close knit team, this role will be suited to someone who has a passion for payroll and are looking for their next challenge as an integral employee.
Reporting directly to the Shared Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Handle weekly and monthly payroll calculations for 600+ employees
- Process new starters, terminations and redundancies
- Interpret various EBA’s and awards
- Prepare and lodge Payroll Tax, PAYG and Work Cover
- Prepare and process monthly superannuation
- Handle employee queries efficiently and accurately
- Relevant reporting and reconciliations
- Ad hoc tasks as required
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have previous proven experience in payroll within a medium/large organisation. The role is suited to attract high calibre candidates, and you will also have the following attributes:
- Positive and vibrant personality, with a passion for payroll
- Excellent time management skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience using a large ERP system
- Ability to work in a high volume environment
- A sound knowledge of Australia’s current legislation of EBA’s and awards
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and be a strong team player
