Our client is a locally owned private company, deriving revenue from the retail sector. Looking for a switched-on Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. Based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne, they offer a fantastic culture with an attractive salary. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing and reconciling of all payrolls within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Processing a fortnightly and weekly pay - High volume
- Ensure finance team receive accurate and timely reporting as required
- Setting up new starters
- Ensure all employees status changes or payroll status changes
- Setup new superannuation and deduction codes
- Handle relevant queries
- Preparation of end of month payroll reporting
- End of year payment summaries
- SAP experience
- Retail experience preferred
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptionally high attention to detail
- Excellent ability to multitask
- Prior experience in interpreting EBAs and awards
