Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Maintain employee records, process payroll adjustments, and handle queries related to pay, leave, and entitlements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to validate payroll data and provide necessary reports to finance and management.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation, and workers’ compensation.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing within a medium to large organisation (1000+ employees preferred).
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and relevant legislation, including award and enterprise agreement interpretation.
  • High attention to detail with excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees and management.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
