They are now seeking an experienced and motivated Payroll Officer to join their finance team in the CBD on a full-time basis, permanent basis.

About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and efficient payroll services for a National workforce. This is a hands-on role in processing end-to-end payroll for staff covered by multiple EBAs and awards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end payroll processing for a national, multi-site workforce
  • Process timesheets and leave requests in accordance with EBAs, awards, and payroll procedures
  • Review and verify payroll data, resolve exceptions, and ensure database integrity
  • Manage new starters, terminations, variations, and retrospective adjustments
  • Handle escalated payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting
  • Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives
About You
  • Minimum of 3+ years end-to-end payroll experience in a medium-to-large organisation
  • Strong understanding of EBAs, awards, and payroll compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, numeracy skills, and accuracy under pressure
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in shared services or large team environments desirable
  • SAP and Time & Attendance system experience advantageous
