About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and efficient payroll services for a large workforce. This is a hands-on role in a shared services environment, processing end-to-end payroll for staff covered by multiple EBAs and awards.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-site workforce
- Process timesheets and leave requests in accordance with EBAs, awards, and payroll procedures
- Review and verify payroll data, resolve exceptions, and ensure database integrity
- Manage new starters, terminations, variations, and retrospective adjustments
- Administer superannuation, taxation, and other statutory obligations
- Handle escalated payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting
- Mentor and support less experienced payroll staff
- Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience in a medium-to-large organisation
- Strong understanding of EBAs, awards, and payroll compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, numeracy skills, and accuracy under pressure
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in shared services or large team environments desirable
- SAP and Time & Attendance system experience advantageous
- $80,000 + superannuation + bonus
