With a strong commitment to developing a positive culture within the business, our client are currently seeking a motivated Payroll Officer to join their collaborative finance team, on a permanent basis. Due to ongoing business growth and company transformations, this is an exciting opportunity or an experienced individual to start their next challenge as soon as possible, working close to home in Melbourne's Northern suburbs.

Position Description
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a supportive team environment, you will be responsible for:

• Processing the payroll for a high number of staff members in a team environment
• Processing different payrolls for various states across Australia 
• Processing work cover, superannuation and payroll tax
• Handling payroll related queries
• Reporting duties to assist the payroll team
• Other ad hoc payroll related duties

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have proven experience (3-5 years) in a similar Payroll role, along with the following attributes:

• Ability to multi task with excellent time management and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to hit the ground running with a positive attitude
• Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
• A keen eye for detail and strong problem solving skills
