- Managing full-function payroll processing, including preparation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Reviewing wage and allowance data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring payroll accuracy.
- Completing month-end payroll requirements and statutory reporting.
- Processing calculations relating to leave, terminations, prepayments, and allowances.
- Managing superannuation, payroll tax, workers’ compensation, child support, and other statutory remittances.
- Responding to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining payroll records and supporting system updates and improvements.
- Processing timesheets and leave applications.
- Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and employment contracts.
- Supporting the broader finance and HR teams with additional payroll-related tasks as required.
- Proven experience using payroll and HRIS systems.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes in a multi-site or diverse business environment.
- Ability to confidently interpret Awards, EAs, and employment contracts.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel capability.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent time management.
- Clear and confident communication with stakeholders at all levels.
