About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a supportive team within a large, expanding global business on a temporary basis. In this role as Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the function from day one

Duties & Responsibilities 
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and month-end (EOM) activities
  • Assist with administering payrolls, including month-end consolidation and processing support as required for two weekly and one monthly payroll.
  • Check and audit all payrolls to ensure compliance with legislation and awards (e.g., tax compliance, superannuation).
  • Support internal reporting requirements such as ad hoc reports, annual leave reports, and intercompany reports.
  • Assist with payroll-related projects focused on continual improvement and standardisation of payroll operations and systems.
  • Calculate and process termination payments for resignation, retirement, and redundancy cases.
  • Assist with the calculation, payment, and reconciliation of payroll tax and group tax.
  • Support administration, calculation, payment, and reconciliation of all superannuation contributions across the ANZ region.
  • Liaise with management and staff regarding all payroll and pay enquiries within Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
  • Coordinate with HR regarding staff appointments, terminations, remuneration, conditions of service, and other relevant matters.
Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience using iChris/Chris21
  • 5+ years experience in a Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll role
  • Confident working in a stand-alone payroll position
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
