About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our client’s Finance team in a permanent part‑time capacity (3 days per week).  Reporting into a supportive leadership group, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of the monthly payroll function across multiple entities. The position involves a blend of processing, compliance, reporting and improvement-focused work, offering strong exposure across the broader Finance and HR teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end autonomous monthly payroll (200 - 250 employees) processing across multiple business entities
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation and internal payroll policies
  • Managing PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and WorkCover calculations, payments and reconciliations
  • Processing new starters, terminations, employment variations, leave, bonuses and salary adjustments
  • Maintaining and administering the payroll system with a strong focus on data integrity
  • Preparing month‑end payroll reporting and supporting payroll-related finance deliverables
  • Managing leave entitlements and completing monthly reconciliations
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and contributing to finance projects
  • Assisting HR with payroll reporting requirements as needed

You will bring:
  • Solid experience in a similar payroll role
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and legislation
  • Exposure to ERP payroll platforms
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a continuous‑improvement mindset
