The Opportunity
This is an exciting permanent part-time position, for a capable Payroll Officer to join a leading food manufacturing business in the south eastern suburbs.

In this role you will be expected to accurately and promptly process payroll for weekly and monthly paid employees and support the finance team.
This is a busy role and will require someone with experience in a similar environment. 

Reporting to the Finance Manager this is a Part-time role – approximately 22 - 30 hours per week. This company offer working from home flexibility, should this appeal to the right candidate.

Responsibilities 
You will be responsible for the end to end payroll of 4 payroll cycles. Including, but not limited to;
  • End-to-end Payroll processing for weekly staff.
  • Manage the time and attendance system for operational staff .
  • Manage monthly and quarterly payroll reporting requirements (superannuation, general ledger posting, payroll reconciliations)
  • Maintain compliance with payroll related statutory and legislative requirements
  • Maintain the integrity of the payroll system including records management 
  • Manage workers compensation claims with insurer
  • Assist and support the Finance Team as required 
  • Ad hoc filing or administrative duties as requested +

  • To be successful in the role you will possess the ability to interpret Awards, have experience with high volume payroll processing, have the ability to simply explain complex issues and be competent in Microsoft Excel.
