The payroll team plays a key role in ensuring their employees are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time. 

Please note: This role is fully remote, with opportunities to collaborate in person with the team. Ideally, you’ll be Sydney based or able to travel to Sydney occasionally. Working Holiday Visa's (with payroll experience) are welcome to apply!

Responsibilities: 
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll support the end-to-end processing of weekly payroll. You’ll gain hands-on experience with award interpretation, time and attendance systems, and payroll compliance. 
  • Assist with processing weekly payroll (alongside 3 other payroll officers)
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support onboarding, roster checks, and leave processing
  • Review timesheets, ensuring data accuracy and timely approvals
  • Support compliance across superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax requirements
  • Help respond to payroll queries from team members and managers
  • Assist with internal audits and award interpretation
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in payroll processes and systems
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Prior experience in payroll
  • Experience using Tanda or another time and attendance/payroll system
  • Interest in learning award interpretation (Retail or fast-food awards is a bonus!)
  • Excellent communication and a team-focused approach
