An open opportunity for a enthusiastic Payroll Specialist to join a busy team initially on a contract basis on the Lower North Shore. You will be reporting into the Payroll Manager and working in a small team, on a fortnightly payroll. The company is a growth industry in the market which has a stable foundation. You will have a critical role in ensuring the Pay-run is administered smoothly.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- End to End Payroll: New starters, Bank changes, Super, Salary increases, allowances and deductions, terminations
- Administration/follow up of fortnightly timesheets
- Administration of fortnightly payroll reports including reconciliation and preparation of payments and reports.
- Assist with the calculation and payment of termination payments
- Assist with the administration of PAYG, Super and Third-Party payments
- Assist with reviewing audit reports for each payroll, following up any discrepancies
- Preparation of Reports
- Support preparation of payroll reports as required
- Support reconciliation of fortnightly payroll reports/data for accurate submission via STP
- Support reconciliation of annual payroll reports/data
- Confidence in an End to End Payroll position; can run confidently without assistance required.
- Exquisite attention to detail
- Experience with payroll systems (Chris21 or Preceda is advantageous)
- Experience with Time and Attendance systems
- Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures.
- Strong administrative and procedural skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
