The Role
Given a recent change in ownership and direction, this business are on the lookout for a new Payroll Team Leader to take ownership of payroll for the business across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will take on the more complicated aspects of the operational payroll in which the business operate. This will include but not be limited to:
- Leading a team of 2 x Senior Payroll Officers
- Interpretation of multiple awards/EBA's
- Provide back up and support to the National Payroll Manager
- Involvement with union members
- Ensuring all deadlines are met within the payroll team
- Handling complex payroll queries
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Hands-on experience in an end-to-end payroll processing role with previous team management exposure
- Experience interpreting varying EBA's/Awards
- Strong numerical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset that is adept to dealing with difficult personalities at times
- Previous experience processing payroll within a unionised payroll environment advantageous but not essential
