Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Support the development and execution of the merchandise pricing strategy
- Lead pricing projects from data collection through to insight and recommendation
- Conduct competitor pricing analysis to inform optimisation decisions
- Deliver robust cost-benefit analyses (CBA) to support key programs
- Ensure pricing initiatives are implemented with minimal disruption to stores and customers
- Establish, validate and analyse pricing and competitor data
- Develop clear, data-driven presentations for senior stakeholders
- Report regularly to the Head of Merchandise on project progress and outcomes
- Monitor promotional performance and deliver detailed post-implementation reviews (PIR)
- Track progress against commercial plans and objectives
- Partner with Store Operations, Marketing, senior leadership and suppliers
- Represent the Merchandise function across cross-functional projects
- Collaborate with key strategic partners across APA

Experience & Background
- Retail pricing experience
- Proven track record delivering complex pricing or category projects
- Experience in statistical modelling and retail pricing optimisation
- Strong background in competitor analysis and revenue management
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or related discipline (desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with data modelling and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or similar)
- Confident building executive-ready presentations
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
- Highly analytical with a problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to see the “big picture” while managing detailed execution
- Bias for action in a fast-moving retail environment
- Immediately available or on a 1-2 week notice period
