We are seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise SAP re-platforming and upgrade program within a complex, statewide operating environment. This role sits within a critical corporate systems function responsible for workforce management, payroll, finance and logistics platforms that support a large and diverse public sector workforce.
 
You will join a major Enterprise SAP Re-platforming Program, focused on transitioning core SAP ERP solutions from ageing infrastructure to modern S/4HANA Cloud-based platforms. The program spans HR/Payroll, Workforce Management, Finance, Business and Logistics solutions and underpins a broader multi-year corporate business systems roadmap.
Key program objectives include:

• Delivering a proof of concept for HR/Payroll migration and upgrade
• Re-platforming SAP ECC6 HR/Payroll and Workforce Management solutions
• Upgrading SAP Finance, Business and Logistics to S/4HANA Cloud
• Establishing a contemporary, scalable technology foundation to support future enterprise delivery

The Role:
As Principal Business Analyst, you will lead the identification, analysis and documentation of business processes and requirements across multiple stakeholder groups. You will work closely with program leadership, technical teams and business representatives to ensure enterprise SAP solutions are fit-for-purpose, efficient and aligned to organisational outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate business requirements gathering across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Analyse current and future-state business processes within SAP HR/Payroll, Workforce Management and Finance domains
• Produce high-quality business analysis documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Provide expert advice on optimising enterprise workforce management and payroll processes
• Support process re-engineering activities, including identifying policy and procedural impacts
• Contribute to project, release and delivery planning activities
• Provide strategic and operational advice to influence solution design and delivery outcomes
• Lead, mentor and support multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with information security, quality management and public sector governance standards
• Support delivery activities that may require occasional out-of-hours work to meet critical milestones

About You:
You are a senior Business Analyst with deep experience operating in large, enterprise or public sector environments and can confidently navigate complexity, scale and governance.

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst working with:
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance, Business & Logistics, and/or
  • SAP ECC6 HR/Payroll, and/or
  • Infor WFM / Rostering solutions
• Strong process analysis and documentation skills
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience working on ERP upgrades, re-platforming or transformation programs
• A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with strong attention to quality and detail
