We are seeking an experienced Process and Automation Specialist to join the maintenance team in a permanent, full-time capacity. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and optimising the site’s automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and VSDs.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to Maintenance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, programming, and maintaining automation control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA)
- Providing high-level technical support to the broader maintenance team
- Leading the specification and procurement of electrical/controls equipment
- Managing instrumentation and automation-related activities
- Delivering end-to-end projects with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
To be successful for the role, ideally you will have:
- Electrical Engineering qualification or current QLD Electrical License
- 3+ years’ experience in industrial automation (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Proven track record managing automation and controls projects in a manufacturing setting
- Solid understanding of machine design, electrical, and automation systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach
