My client is a leading and innovative cookware, kitchen and tabletop manufacturer and Retailer committed to delivering high-quality kitchen solutions. With a strong presence in both wholesale and retail markets, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

Duties:

As a Product Development Manager for Tabletop and Kitchen, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to market launch, ensuring that our cookware offerings meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Product Ideation and Innovation:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market trends, consumer needs, and competitor insights to drive product innovation.
    • Lead creative sessions to contribute ideas for new cookware concepts and features.
  2. Project Management:
    • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery of product development milestones.
    • Work closely with the Category Buyer and Merchandise Planner to monitor success and how to improve the Category. 
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for all cookware products.
    • Conduct regular product testing and evaluation to ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.
  4. Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Collaborate with suppliers to implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  5. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product enhancement or expansion.
    • Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions for product improvements.
Skills & Expertise:
  • Proven experience in product development, with a track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and materials related to cookware production.
  • Understanding of the wholesale and retail landscape in Australia.
