As they continue to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join the business and oversee the performance of the production team.


About the role:
  
You will play a crucial role in leading the Production Team through training, coaching, and developing team members whilst setting clear performance metrics that meet goals on the excellence roadmap. Leading by example and upholding the business values, you will support a safety conscious culture including ensuring manufacturing equipment is operated correctly and ensuring products are being produced according to quality standards. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be lead continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause analysis efforts and implementing corrective actions where necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring safety and compliance of the production facility.
  • Train, mentor, and coach production staff to develop their skills, capabilities, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage manufacturing employees in achieving business targets and goals.
  • Monitor production metrics and KPIs, analysing data to identify trends, address deficiencies, and drive performance improvements for cost, utilisation, throughput and waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance to resolve production issues and optimise processes.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the company’s growth objectives.

  • Proven experience leading a team within a production environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, equipment, and technology, with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
  • Experience with Unions and EBAs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to achieve operational excellence.
