Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Hampers business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the production processes, maintaining high standards of product presentation, and managing a dynamic team. This role is crucial in upholding the quality and reliability that Interflora is known for.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock Management:
    • Order regular stock to maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages.
    • Ensure all received stock is accurate and free of errors.
    • Conduct regular stock counts and maintain an up-to-date inventory system.
  • Financial Administration:
    • Forward invoices to the accounts team promptly.
    • Keep precise records of all invoices and related documentation.
    • Monitor and reconcile stock-related financial transactions.
  • Staff Management:
    • Develop and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal coverage, especially during peak periods.
    • Recruit and hire additional staff during busy seasons to meet demand.
    • Forward hours worked, annual leave, and sick leave information to the accounts team for both full-time and casual staff.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Ensure smooth daily operations, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
    • Oversee the presentation and quality of hampers, ensuring they meet our high standards.
    • Manage office operations and provide training to new staff during peak periods.
    • Arrange timely pickups of parcels and coordinate with logistics partners.
  • Client and Corporate Relations:
    • Handle interactions with corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met and queries addressed.
    • Maintain excellent customer service standards and build strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate has:
  • Proven experience in a production or warehouse management role.
  • A flair for creativity and attention to detail to ensure quality presentation of hampers. 
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and strong leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and financial record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak seasons.
