About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Production Manager to oversee operations and drive performance across the night shift. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of supervisors and operators, ensuring production targets are met while upholding strict safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with on-the-floor engagement to optimise output and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire production teams to achieve operational targets and KPI goals
- Drive production efficiency, yield improvement, and waste reduction initiatives
- Oversee compliance with HACCP, GMP, WHS, and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain to optimise plant performance
- Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
- Manage labour planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Provide coaching, development, and succession planning for supervisory staff
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience within FMCG manufacturing, ideally dairy or food production
- Availability to work night shifts
- Strong people management skills with the ability to influence and engage teams
- Sound understanding of quality and safety systems (HACCP, GMP, WHS)
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data and drive process improvements
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- A results-focused, hands-on leader who thrives under pressure
