Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Upholding HSE standards and procedures consistently, setting an example for others to follow.
- Creating and maintaining production plans aligned with sales targets, forecasted demand, and inventory goals.
- Monitoring raw material planning and procurement, flagging any requirements or shortages to the Procurement Manager.
- Collaborating with various teams including Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to ensure efficient communication of schedules and ETAs.
- Ensuring accurate input and maintenance of master data for Production Planning, encompassing product codes, raw materials, bills of materials, and routings.
- Contributing to the S&OP process by sharing production capacity-related information and addressing issues.
- Providing comprehensive and structured reporting to the business on a regular basis.
- Optimizing planning schedules, adapting to shifting priorities, and investigating any discrepancies affecting customer delivery.
- Developing skills to act as a backup to the Production Manager.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- A solid grasp of production planning principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics365 or other ERP platforms.
- Previous experience in production planning within a multi-line or complex manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of plastic extrusion or processing would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, interpersonal acumen, and the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
