Our client is a highly-regarded FMCG manufacturer with a strong national footprint and a long-standing reputation for quality and reliability. With multiple production sites across Australia, they supply trusted products to both retail and foodservice channels.
Role Overview:
This is a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced production planner to step into a high-impact role, taking ownership of production planning across two key manufacturing sites - one in Sydney and one in Queensland.
Working closely with supply, demand, and operations teams, you'll develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer needs while managing capacity and raw material constraints. With 80 finished goods and over 400 raw materials under scope, you'll be central to keeping production moving efficiently and on plan.
This role requires someone confident in building relationships on-site, influencing stakeholders, and navigating a fast-moving environment with competing demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the MPS across four manufacturing lines at two national sites
- Monitor materials and capacity planning within a 13-week to 2-year horizon
- Build and monitor production plans that account for key operational constraints including line capacity, labour availability, batch sizes, run rates, and bottlenecks
- Build strong partnerships with site and supply chain stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of plan
- Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of a materials planner and provide hands-on support
- Identify key players on-site and proactively influence them to follow process and meet planning expectations
- Collaborate with broader supply and demand functions to support S&OP/IBP cycles
- Strong experience in production planning within manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong ERP and Excel skills (experience with Dynamics 365 or SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable operating in a reactive, fast-paced environment
