We are seeking a proactive and organised Production Planner to join a fast-paced seafood processing facility in Canning Vale. This role is critical in ensuring timely production, coordinating across multiple teams, and maintaining efficient operations. You will work closely with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, and Operations teams to optimise schedules, reduce waste, and support overall supply chain planning.
This is an on-site, permanent full-time role with a fast start preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on forecasts, inventory, and operational capacity.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure raw materials and packaging are available when needed.
- Monitor production data and adjust plans to manage bottlenecks or operational variances.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, order changes, and material usage.
- Communicate plan updates and priorities to all relevant stakeholders daily.
- Support process improvements to optimise production efficiency and reduce waste.
- 3+ years’ experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in food, seafood, or FMCG.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Confident in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
- Technical skills: proficient in Excel and comfortable working across spreadsheets; experience with planning software a bonus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP/GMP) highly regarded.
