We are seeking a Project Accountant to support a critical initiative within a large government infrastructure division. This role plays a key part in validating accruals, improving financial reporting processes, and supporting asset capitalisation efforts for a broad portfolio of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate accruals for capital projects and ensure alignment with future invoicing cycles.
• Collaborate with asset accountants and quantity surveyors to support asset capitalisation processes.
• Provide financial guidance across infrastructure investment programs.
• Assist with reporting, system enhancements, and internal control improvements.
• Contribute to wider financial management initiatives within the division.

About You:

• Experience in project and asset accounting, preferably in a capital infrastructure environment.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to identify financial trends and insights.
• Ability to work across teams and communicate complex financial information clearly.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent organisational skills.
• Prior experience working with SAP (or similar financial systems) is highly desirable.
