Responsibilities

In a rare opportunity, our client is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their team. Working closely with the Manager - Plantation and Carbon Projects, this role will be responsible for supporting the organisations carbon offset projects and environmental certifications.

 Some other key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Assist in preparing project submission documentation to the Clean Energy Regulator.
  • Prepare data modelling outputs of carbon offsets.
  • Maintain a monitoring system for MWO’s carbon offset projects.
  • Support the preparation of carbon offset reports.
  • Maintain contact with third party landowners in order to update and procure information for applications and audits.
  • Update digital mapping (GIS) with progress of carbon projects.  
  • Complete annual internal audits of MWO’s compliance with FSC and PEFC standards and internal procedures.
  • Maintain processes and systems for chain of custody certifications.
Skills / Experience

As a natural team player, you are analytical and highly organised. You manage your time effectively and take pride in following a process driven approach. You will also possess:
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management or administration based role.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting contracts, laws, regulations, guidelines, standards etc.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word etc.
  • A forestry or agriculture background (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Experience using FullCAM and/or GIS mapping (highly regarded but not essential)
