About your role: 
Working hand in hand with the Director, you will be the conduit between the technical teams and internal stakeholders whilst managing infrastructure projects. You will oversee a range of projects simultaneously across small to medium size scales, managing the entire process from design and development to facilitation and implementation.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Provide high level project management advice and expertise to the Group/Element to ensure the successful implementation of the project/s, including the preparation and delivery of weekly project team activity summaries and reporting on key milestones for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Allocate appropriate resources to approved projects and appropriately schedule and manage the projects within the program to ensure effective and timely delivery with efficient use of resources.
  • Provide expert and complex policy and procedural advice and contribute to the design, development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations within the team ensuring continuous improvement of service delivery and effective operational performance in meeting objectives.
  • Facilitate strategic planning for the project/program in liaison with the Senior Manager/Director and governance committees, and provision of secretariat support for these committees.
  • Mentor, develop and coach team members to ensure adherence to best practice procedures including compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage the development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of projects and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, including continuous review of project materials for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness.
  • Manage and ensure the contractual obligations of all parties are met, including those related to project closure.
  • Lead Working Groups to ensure meetings are scheduled and outcomes and progress are reported to relevant Committees and/or stakeholders.
  • Manage the delivery of the final project reports, which documents and critically reviews the process of designing and implementing the agreed program of initiatives.
  • Establish and manage relevant partnerships to support the projects engagement and initiatives.
