A large Queensland Government agency is undertaking a complex systems transition program and requires an experienced Organisational Change Manager to lead and deliver key change activities. This role is focused on managing the people side of change across two concurrent but related projects involving the transition of applications and information from an external department.
You’ll be responsible for planning and executing OCM strategies that enable stakeholder buy-in, minimise disruption, and ensure readiness across impacted business areas. This is a hands-on delivery role within a high-visibility program, ideal for someone who thrives in structured but fast-evolving government environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a structured change management strategy aligned to agency frameworks
- Conduct change impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, and resistance plans
- Lead communication and training initiatives to support transition and adoption
- Coach leaders and business reps to foster ownership of the change
- Collaborate closely with the PM, BAs, support staff, and cross-agency SMEs
- Integrate OCM planning with project milestones and go-live planning
- Monitor change readiness, adoption metrics, and contribute to benefit realisation
- Support business readiness, transition activities, and post-implementation reviews
- Strong background in end-to-end change management within ICT or business transformation programs
- Deep understanding of change frameworks (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR) and practical delivery experience
- Confident leading stakeholder engagement and executive coaching conversations
- Experience coordinating training and communications as part of broader change planning
- Comfortable working in cross-agency or matrixed environments
- Prior government sector experience highly regarded
