About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their procurement team. This opportunity is based in the southern suburbs of Brisbane and has parking onsite.

Working within this supportive and friendly team-oriented environment, the role will suit a purchasing officer with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and has experience working in an office environment and the ability to work collaboratively.

The Responsibilities: 

Reporting directly into the Procurement Manager, your daily duties will include but not be limited to:  
  • Replenishment of inventory
  • Raise purchase orders for inventory and materials as required
  • Monitor and raise purchase orders to ensure these are modified to meet changes in pricing and delivery time
  • Provide clerical back up to the Procurement Manager as required i.e. data input of stock receipts, price increases, stock transfers, special quotes and pricing, and matching invoices 
  • Management of stock and inventory 
The successful applicant:
  • Previous experience within a purchasing officer role;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong technical skills;
  • Hold a friendly and positive attitude;
