They are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join the team based in the Gold Coast.
About the role
The Quality Assurance Manager at a leading food manufacturing company plays a pivotal role in upholding rigorous standards of quality and safety across all operations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures, overseeing the entire quality control process from procurement to distribution. You will lead a dedicated team of QA professionals, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as retailer guidelines through regular audits and inspections.
Your strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in the industry. You will be working closely with influential stakeholders and reporting into the Site Senior Leadership Team, Operations Teams, Technical Teams, Maintenance teams and external suppliers.
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in food science or related industry.
- Strong management and leadership skills as you will be leading a high performing quality assurance team.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing, ideally meat.
- Excellent problem-solving and continuous improvement abilities.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of global and national food safety certification, legislation, and industry standards such as BRC, SQF, Food Standards Code, Export Legislation, MSA and AAWCS.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
