As the business continues to grow and expand its operations, they are seeking a highly capable and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join the leadership team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining and strengthening the company’s quality and food safety systems, ensuring that all products meet the highest regulatory and customer standards.
About the Role
As the QA Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a pivotal leadership role in safeguarding and continuously improving product quality and food safety across the organisation. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing robust quality assurance frameworks, policies, and procedures throughout the manufacturing operation.
This position will involve leading and mentoring the QA team while working closely with production, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure that quality standards are consistently achieved and maintained. You will drive initiatives that enhance product quality, improve operational processes, and strengthen compliance with industry regulations.
A key focus of the role will be ensuring adherence to food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the quality management system. You will also be responsible for managing audits, addressing non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture where quality and food safety are embedded across all departments.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams within a manufacturing environment.
- A strong track record of implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and food safety standards, including SQF, BRC, HACCP, and GFSI frameworks.
- Experience managing internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and customer quality requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across production, technical, and leadership teams.
