About the Role 
Reporting to senior leadership, the QA Manager will take ownership of the company’s Quality Management System and lead the ongoing development of processes, documentation, and compliance across design, engineering, and production.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working in bespoke manufacturing environments and can balance rigorous compliance with practical, real-world delivery. You will act as the central quality authority, partnering closely with engineering, design, procurement, and production teams while supporting major client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and refining the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and international manufacturing standards.
  • Driving consistent processes, documentation, and traceability across custom projects.
  • Managing supplier quality, audits, NCRs, CAPAs, and material compliance.
  • Planning and executing internal audits and supporting external client and regulatory audits.
  • Implementing smarter, more digital approaches to document control, inspections, and evidence capture.
  • Mentoring junior quality team members and embedding a culture of quality excellence.
  • Acting as the quality subject matter expert in cross-functional discussions and client interactions. 
Skills & Experience 
To be successful in the role, you will bring: 
  • 5+ years’ experience in quality management or quality engineering within manufacturing, or project-based environments. 
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, or improving Quality Management Systems in ISO 9001 settings. 
  • Strong knowledge of international standards 
  • Hands-on auditing experience, including supplier assessment and compliance management.
  • An engineering qualification (mechanical, manufacturing, materials or similar) is highly desirable.
  • A collaborative leadership style, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic approach to compliance.
