About the Role
Reporting to site leadership, the Quality Manager is responsible for leading the site Quality Management System and ensuring ongoing compliance with food safety, regulatory and customer standards. The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on involvement, providing oversight of day-to-day quality operations while driving longer-term improvement initiatives.

The role will manage internal, external and customer audits, inspections and corrective actions, while overseeing product testing, quality monitoring and risk assessments across the production lifecycle. You will drive effective root cause analysis and the timely closure of non-conformances, partnering closely with Operations, Technical, Supply Chain and Sales to proactively manage quality and supplier risks. The role also supports commissioning and system uplift activities, embedding quality into new or evolving operations, while leading, coaching and developing the Quality team and delivering clear quality reporting and insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • A tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Science, Quality, Manufacturing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in a Quality Manager or senior QA leadership role within food or FMCG manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety legislation and customer standards
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing complex non-conformances
  • The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience with quality systems, digital tools or data-driven quality environments
  • A leadership style that promotes accountability, continuous improvement and team engagement
