Sharp & Carter is proud to partner with a leading infrastructure organisation to appoint a Quantity Surveyor supporting a major rail project across Western Sydney.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you will play a key part in delivering cost and contract outcomes across a high-profile project. You will be working alongside an experienced project team, with exposure to complex commercial activities.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership across a range of key commercial functions, including:

• Cost management and cost/value reporting
• Change management (upstream and downstream)
• Preparation and submission of upstream payment claims
• Subcontractor management, including variations and undercerts
• Accruals and financial forecasting
• Advising on contractual matters and supporting commercial decision-making
• Management and mentoring of a Contracts Manager

This role will be primarily based on-site at Badgerys Creek with time also spent at the Seven Hills depot.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
• Strong experience across cost management, change and subcontractor management
• Proven experience managing upstream claims and commercial reporting
• Solid understanding of contract management principles and risk
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
