Due to demand, they are looking for a Regulatory Specialist to join the team in Melbourne.

About the Role
As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines in the Australia and global markets. You will be the expert on food legislation and guidelines, interpreting requirements, sharing best practices, and recommending regulatory positions. You will develop and maintain procedures for approving product formulas, ingredients, labels, and marketing materials.

Supporting Procurement, R&D, and Marketing, you will ensure compliance in new product development, reformulations, claims exploration, and label redesigns. You will liaise with global and regional contacts on export/import compliance and advocate for training initiatives. Additionally, you will monitor regulatory changes, communicate impacts, and ensure readiness.

Skills & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent in Food Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a large global food manufacturing organization, preferably in Regulatory Affairs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Regulatory Affairs in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the imports and exports and knowledge of FSANZ.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and peers, set clear standards, and hold others accountable with high attention to detail.
  • Strong team player, effective at interfacing with all levels of management and teams across the business.
