This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of reliability engineering at a well established, fast-paced food manufacturing site.
This newly created role will play a key role in optimising equipment performance, reducing unplanned downtime, and embedding a proactive maintenance culture.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and contribute to long-term capital planning, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion the site’s Asset Care strategy and reliability improvement initiatives
- Provide technical leadership to the maintenance team and cross-functional partners
- Analyse equipment performance and implement preventative and predictive maintenance solutions
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures
- Deliver capital and asset projects safely, on time and within budget
- Ensure all engineering work complies with safety, food safety, and regulatory standards
- Maintain CMMS and ensure spare parts, systems and protocols are optimised
- Support plant utilities, environmental compliance, and critical infrastructure reliability
- Contribute to HACCP, WHS and environmental planning
- Leverage technology and data to drive continuous improvement
- Proven experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar role within manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge in asset care, preventative maintenance, and root cause analysis
- Experience working within food, FMCG or other highly regulated environments
- Competency with CMMS systems, SAP, and engineering standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical investigations
- Ability to engage and influence teams, with strong communication and leadership skills
- A mindset for continuous improvement and a passion for delivering results
- Relevant degree qualifications in engineering or equivalent experience
