Due to a recent move within the Finance team, there is now an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join the business on an initial temporary basis.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the CFO, the focus of this role will be to ensure compliance with all monthly reporting, tax obligations, and overhead analysis. Specifically, your role will involve:
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reports including P&L reviews, bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain the Fixed Asset Register and Lease Schedule, ensuring compliance with AASB 16.
- Manage daily cashflow reporting and rolling forecasts.
- Support group consolidation and board reporting processes.
- Oversee statutory compliance including BAS, payroll tax, FBT and WorkCover.
- Maintain motor vehicle fleet and related insurance, fuel cards, and E-tag registers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive process improvements and financial control initiatives.
- Provide financial insights to help identify risks and opportunities.
- Support Accounts Payable/Receivable processes when needed.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
You are CA or CPA qualified, ideally having begun your career in a Big 4 or mid-tier audit environment. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build strong professional relationships and earn the confidence of colleagues at all levels. You have a proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
